NOTE: In 1988, NYSDOT, as part of the Route 5 reconstruction project, decommissioned the portion of the street known as North Park. Trees and grass we planted. A fence was erected. The was done to make the street look like part of the memorial park. Since the street North Park is now being used as part of the Derby Veterans' Park, given that state funds were used to make improvements, all NYS residents, under state law, have standing to use the park. Below are the names, addresses and signatures of Disabled American Veterans that have expressed their support of handicap improvements at the Derby Veterans' Park. (Originals Available Upon Request)
